Today I put on two different shoes, went to work, and didn't notice until a little while ago when I got around to kicking them off.
It's been that kind of day.
I had to work through most of the weekend. I do want to write about yesterday but I just finished writing something for work and am out of words. Tomorrow should be better.
I once went to high school (which involved walking half a mile and taking two city buses) wearing not just two different shoes, but one Keds slip-on (white with a rainbow) and one leather topsider. So... you're in (good?) company. And I had to work last Sunday.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm always excited when you comment on my blog because it usually means that you just posted something on your own. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes up next!
It’s true! Once I post something I reward myself by visiting my favorite sites.
DeleteYour shoe story made me laugh and feel better. Sadly, I have another shoe story that’s worse. Years ago I had two pairs of nearly identical heels. I was packing for a trip at the last minute and grabbed a pair. It wasn’t until I was in Toronto and dressing to go to the theater that I realized I’d packed two left shoes. Of course I wore them—no choice. The trickiest part was figuring out how to stand so it wasn’t so obvious. During intermission I caught a couple of people repeatedly glancing at my feet, looking like they were trying to figure out what wasn’t quite right with my feet.
That's a great story on so many levels.
